In 2010, Michael and Amy Recco founded Friends For Life Homecare, in Massapequa, New York. It was Michael Recco who was inspired to launch Friends For Life Homecare. His mother, Norma Recco, opened her own homecare agency in 1970, and for 35 years she committed her life to homecare. For over 25 years Norma worked side by side with her son, Michael, providing him with the knowledge and experience that has brought him so much success in the industry. Michael believes in his mother’s philosophy: “Homecare is and always will be about human beings caring for other human beings”. Michael’s experience in homecare has been the foundation for our growing and successful commitment to support and help the families and individuals who need us.
Amy Recco shares her husband’s vision, and her commitment, passion, and powerful voice in this industry places high priority on all our clients and their families by helping them to develop a bond that encourages independence, and promotes wellbeing and support to all our clients’ needs. Amy is an advocate for home and community based care. She is a member of the Long Island Coalition of the Aging, has created a senior resource group, and runs a monthly caregiver support group.
