My experience with Friends For Life Homecare has shown me that Michael and Amy Recco are: • Committed to excellence • Skilled at working as a team, and able to rise to the challenge of a difficult situation • Focused on quality care – I look for an agency that takes care of their clients AND their companions • Client Centered Care – The Recco’s pull in resources from a variety of areas to enhance the lives of their clients. We have worked together seamlessly with several clients as well as working tirelessly on some very difficult cases.
When our mother needed a live-in companion, we called several agencies. One of the agencies was Friends For Life Homecare, who had been highly recommended by our neighbors. We needed someone who could handle our very difficult mom. It was important to find the right person to fit her personality. Friends For Life Homecare let us interview several caregivers, where we were able to ask questions and explain our needs in a relaxed atmosphere. It was comforting to know that background checks had been done and we would be bringing someone safe and capable into our home. My mom and the companion are a perfect match. They have become true friends. We have been so pleased with Michael and Amy and also their wonderful staff. We are truly thankful for the quality of life our mom now has!
My experience with Friends For Life Homecare has been fantastic, and I’d recommend them as a first option to anyone entering the frightening world of parent care. The reason why I went to Friends For Life Homecare was that out of all the places I called, they were the most responsive and helpful. Getting into this world, I was completely at my wits end and way over my head. My dad, who has Parkinson’s, suddenly had a massive drop in his condition and ended up in the hospital. At this point, it was clear we needed live-in help. Amy and her network of contacts was critically helpful to us navigating difficult circumstances and guiding us through getting what we needed at the hospital and rehab, arranging interviews, starting care in the hospital, and then transitioning him into care at home. I think the thing that feels unique about this organization is that they really try to help make up for what is so lacking in our medical system. Friends For Life Homecare has really been the glue for us to not just get a live-in companion for both parents, but to also connect us with more people to help us. Multiple times they’ve proactively called us with concerns or made suggestions that were all right on the spot and critical to my parents’ quality of life. I feel like I have a real partner in our situation.
I contacted Friends For Life Homecare because I was looking for a companion for my sister, who is disabled and can be quite a handful. We met with Amy Recco and hit it off immediately. She then found the perfect companion for my sister and I could not be more pleased with how things have turned out. Nicki is creative, compassionate, and goes the extra mile to provide excellent service. We previously used another service and they weren’t up to the challenge, and things didn’t work out. So you can imagine how pleased we are. I highly recommend Friends For Life Homecare.
Friends For Life Homecare provides excellent around the clock care for our mother. They give us peace of mind, especially when we occasionally have to be out of state for a few weeks at a time.
Friends For Life Homecare helped my family and I through many stages of care. From just an extra hand around the house all the way to 24 hour hospice care. I feel now that Friends For Life is an extension of my family. I trusted them, I needed them, and they were there for us every step of the way. Five stars is not enough to rate how much this organization did for us during this very difficult time.
My mother-in-law recently moved into a senior residence as an independent resident. With the compassionate assistance of the Friends For Life Homecare staff, my mother-in-law has been able to remain in her apartment with dignity, independence, and loving assistance.
Friends For Life Homecare was extremely sensitive to my personal criteria for the person I would want in my home. Based on the assessment of my needs, Friends For Life Homecare turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life. After 3 years, Angela has become my very good friend and steadfast supporter in every direction. Angela has helped me to organize and maintain my home, making sure I am clean, dressed appropriately, and assists me in so many other activities. Angela is upbeat and positive even when I’m having a bad day. She is a gem and I treasure her time with me. I’m happy to say that I’ve also had excellent relations with the staff, especially Michael Recco. Any request I’ve made has been honored, while his professionalism and cooperation has been exceptional. It has been clear to me that Friends For Life has their clients’ best interest at hand at all times, providing the best care and security. Therefore, I most heartily recommend Friends For Life Homecare to anyone who has reached that level of needed support.
Amy Recco was the first staff member I spoke with in a search for a companion for my elderly mother, who suffers from Dementia. She exuded warmth, caring, understanding, and patience as she listened to my concerns and answered so many questions. Amy worked hard to find the right fit for my mom (which was not easy) and continues to show her concern with follow-up calls weekly. Sandra has been my mom’s companion for several months now, and she is a competent, strong, and caring person. Sandra is a quick learner and takes initiative with all her tasks and most importantly, her experience working with a person suffering from Dementia helps us feel so much more comfortable. My father feels at ease when Sandra is here helping my mom. Our family takes comfort in the help Sandra has been able to provide.
